LAST WEEK:

Markets:  Deal?  Iran, Trump, & Oil… Markets were cautiously up last week.  

S&P roller coaster last week:  Up, Down, Down significantly, Up significantly, and Up.

Fed Balance Sheet:  $6.725 Trillion.   

Housing:  Existing Home Sales were up +3.2% in May, and they were also up +3.2% Y/Y.  

Inflation:  The Consumer Price Index (consumer Inflation) went up +0.5% in May, and was up +4.2% Y/Y.   The Producer Price Index (wholesale Inflation) went up +1.1% in May and was up +6.5% Y/Y.

Metals:  Gold finished the week at $4,239.  Silver finished the week at $68.

National Debt:  $39.254 Trillion.  

Trade Deficit:  April’s Trade Deficit was $56 Billion.  Exports are up +12.6% Y/Y.  Imports are up +9.1% Y/Y.

THIS WEEK:

Focus of the week:  The fourth Fed Meeting of the year.  All focus will be on the new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, and what he will have to say. 

Calendar:  Industrial Production (Mon); Housing Starts (Tue); the Fed Meeting Statement, the new Fed Chair press conference, and Retail Sales (Wed).  

Deal:  Reports are a Deal between the U.S. and Iran will be signed on Friday.  Will Iran actually show up to sign the Deal?   Just what’s in the Deal?  We’ll soon find out.
