Markets: Lots of movement, but overall, they took a bit of a breather last week.
S&P roller coaster last week: Down, Down, Down a bunch, Up a lot, and Up a lot.
Fed Balance Sheet: $6.557 Trillion.
Housing: Existing Home Sales were up +0.5% in October, but were down -1.0% Y/Y.
Inflation: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) consensus for November was +0.3%, but came in lower at +0.2%. On a Y/Y basis the consensus for November was +3.1%, but came in lower at +2.7%. The Personal Consumption & Expenditure index (the PCE) was delayed (again).
Jobless Claims: The weekly number came in at 224,000. The four-week average came in at 218,000.
Jobs: Coming off 119,000 in September (October was skipped due to the Shutdown), the consensus for November was for 40,000 jobs. The actual number came in at 64,000.
National Debt: $38.152 Trillion.
Retail Sales: They were unchanged (0%) in October, and were up +3.5% Y/Y.
Unemployment: The U3 Unemployment rate rose from 4.4% (September) and moved up to 4.6%.
