S&P roller coaster last week: Up significantly, Up a touch, Up, Down significantly, and Down a touch.
Fed Balance Sheet: $6.581 Trillion.
Inflation: Both sets of data, Consumer Inflation (the CPI) and Wholesale Inflation (the PPI) were delayed by the Government Shutdown.
Jobless Claims: The numbers were not reported, due to the Government Shutdown.
National Debt: $38.005 Trillion.
Retail Sales: The numbers were not reported, due to the Government Shutdown.
Shutdown: Thankfully, it’s over. Until the end of January.

Focus of the week: How long will it take to get the “new” data updated?
Calendar: Industrial production (Tue); Housing Starts, Fed Minutes (Wed); Existing Home Sales, and Jobless Claims (Thu).
Earnings: This current earnings season is starting to wind down. Some of the companies reporting this week: Deere, Home Depot, Intuit, Lowe’s, NVIDIA, Medtronic, Target, TJX, and Walmart.
